からだのケア：産婦人科対応
Obstetric & Gynecological Care
・妊娠を防ぐためには、72時間以内に緊急避妊ピルを服用することが望まれます。
In order to prevent pregnancy, it is advisable to take the emergency contraceptive pill (‘the morning-after pill’) within 72 hours.
・緊急避妊ピルは産婦人科クリニックや病院を受診し、処方してもらうことができます。
Emergency contraceptives can be prescribed by an obstetrician and gynecologist. Please note that you cannot purchase over-the-counter emergency contraception pills in Japan (as of April 2021).
・72時間以降でも、からだのケアや性感染症検査を受けるために受診しましょう。
Even if it has been over 72 hours, we recommend you to visit a gynecologist as soon as you can to get tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and to seek medical advice and treatment.
・体に残った証拠を採取するため、シャワーや入浴をしないで来てください。
If possible, please refrain from taking a shower or a bath until a gynecologist can collect potential forensic evidence from you.
警察に連絡することで、証拠採取を（産婦人科で）することもできます。
By consulting with the police, evidence collection can be conducted at an Obstetrician and Gynecology clinic.
衣類に残った証拠を保存するために着ていた服や下着を洗濯せず紙袋に入れて保管しておきましょう。
In order to preserve possible evidence remaining on your clothes, please keep them unwashed in a paper bag until consulting with the police.

The crime of ‘forced sexual intercourse’ under Japan’s Penal Code applies to everyone, regardless of their gender or sexuality.

Amnesia Caused by Alcohol or “Date Rape Drug”
レイプドラッグ被害の相談が増えています。
Recently, we have been receiving a growing number of calls about sexual violence using drugs.
レイプドラッグとは、飲食物に混ぜて服薬させ、意識を失わせてレイプするために使用する、睡眠薬や抗不安薬などの薬物です。
‘Date rape drugs’ are often legal drugs such as sleeping or anti-anxiety drugs that are mixed into drinks or food without your consent to make you unconscious and to commit rape.
レイプドラッグなどの薬物検査は警察が行います。
The police carries out tests to detect date rape drugs.
証明するためにもできるだけ早く警察署に行き、尿や血液を採取して検査してもらう必要があります。

If you were fully or partially unconscious during/before/after the incident, it is strongly recommended that you go to a police station as soon as possible to get tested for drugs in your urine and/or blood. → See ‘Reporting to the Police’ for details.

こころのケア
Emotional Care
被害後、できるだけ早くトラウマ治療に理解のある医療機関につながるほうが回復が早いと言われています。
We encourage you to consult experts of trauma treatment as soon as possible. It is said that the sooner after the incident you receive treatment from trauma experts, the faster the recovery.

警察への性暴力被害申告
Reporting to the Police
警察に届けるということは、性暴力被害を申告し、加害者を処罰してほしいと伝えることです。
Report your incident if you want the police to initiate an official process to punish the perpetrator under criminal law.
警察に申告する場合は、事件が起きた場所の最寄りの警察署に行きます。
If you decide to report to the police, your claim needs to be received by the nearest police station from where the incident occurred.
The police can arrange an interpreter upon request to help you through the process.

You may find yourself lost or overwhelmed by the incident. But remember, we are here for you.
被害に遭っても責任は被害者にはありません。
However strongly you feel, remember it is not your fault. You are not to blame.
法的手段をとることは、正当な怒りを示すひとつの方法であり、尊厳の回復にもつながります。
Taking legal action is a valid way to show your feelings towards the perpetrator. It may also lead to restoring your dignity.
被害者がひとりで立ち向かう必要はありません。どのような法的サポートが必要か弁護士と一緒に考えてみませんか。

サポートを受けました。被害者の声
Voices of Survivors
被害を受け、どうすればよいかわからず電話しました。深夜でも対応してもらい、助かりました。話を聞いて病院を紹介してもらい、一人では不安だったのですが、一緒に病院に行ってくれました。その日のうちに緊急避妊ピルを飲めました。何より「あなたは悪くない」と言ってくれ、気遣ってくれたのがとても嬉しかったです。 I called SARC because I didn’t know what to do after the incident. They took my call even though it was late at night. It was a real help. After listening to what had happened, SARC referred me to a hospital. I had been anxious about going there alone, but someone from SARC accompanied me. I was able to take the emergency contraceptive pill within a day. What has stayed with me the most is that they told me, “it’s not your fault”. They were considerate and I felt better because of SARC.
警察に相談し、事情聴取の間もずっと待っていてくれ、終わった後に気持ちを聞いてくれたのが、後から思うととても良かったと思います。何もかも初めてでわからないことばかりでしたが、その都度聞いてくれ、対応を一緒に考えてくれました。 Thinking back to when I reached out to SARC, I was grateful that SARC staff accompanied me to the police station, waited for me while I went to the police and had my statement taken, and asked me how I was feeling afterwards. Everything was so new to me and there were a lot of things I didn’t understand. But SARC staff respected me and provided timely support throughout the ordeal.
初めは、警察への被害申告をするつもりはありませんでしたが、一緒に寄り添ってくれたので、話をするうちに、自分の中に「同意ではない」という気持ちがはっきりしてきて、警察へ行こうと思いました。その時も一緒に付き添ってもらい、心強かったです。 At first, I wasn’t thinking of reporting the incident to the police. But in the end, I decided to go to the police because I gradually realized that “I didn’t consent”, thanks to my conversations with SARC. It was reassuring to have SARC staff accompany me to the police.
刑事事件の裁判にはならず、どうすることもできませんでしたが、どうしても相手を許すことができなくて法律的にできることはないかを相談したら、弁護士相談をすることができ、民事で交渉することができました。その相談の時もずっと付き添ってもらいました。自分ができることをやれたので今は納得しています。 My case didn’t become a criminal case and there was nothing I could do. Still, I couldn’t forgive the perpetrator and I consulted SARC to seek other legal actions. They referred me to a lawyer, and I was able to reach an agreement as a civil case. SARC was with me throughout this ordeal. I am satisfied now because I did what I could.
